YES AND AMEN 2
2Peter 3:9{NIV};
"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
2Peter 3:9{KJV};
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Sometimes, the things we anticipate or desire don't go as planned. Sometimes it even looks like nothing is actually working out. Sometimes you don't get the result that you really want. Well, that doesn't mean God is asleep. That doesn't mean He's wicked. That doesn't mean He doesn't love you. That doesn't mean He doesn't hear or listen to your heartfelt prayers. And all these situations does not change the name of God.
God is not even slow.
Why do i know this? Because my life is a testament of His words coming to pass.
I was searching for a book today and I called on God and it seemed like He didn't hear me. I told God more patiently and in less than 10 minutes, i found the book.
He answers ohhh. Don't for once doubt God. And even if you've doubted God's ability one time or the other, ask for His forgiveness.
His wish is for everyone to come to repentance. He doesn't want any of His creation to perish in sin, doubt and fear.
We have our part to play.
Make up your mind to trust God. You can not have a "solid" friendship/relationship with God without you surrendering unto Him. He has made promises, He has poured out His Spirit upon all flesh...yet, we all have not come to the reality. The only way we can access His blessings, promises and thoughts for us is when we "totally" surrender!
After we surrender, we must trust and obey..for there's no other way to happy in Jesus.
Say "Yes" to Holiness. Say "Yes" to genuine repentance. Say "Yes" to being vulnerable with God. Say "Yes" to His words.
Say "Amen" to His blessings and Promises.
