"If God be for us....."

"Go ask those Hebrews Boys if He'll stay by your side...they will identify—My God is in the room!"

The sentence above is a line from a well-known song.

Romans 8:31(KJV)- "what shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

Daniel 3
King Nebuchadnezzar set up a golden image, commanding all the people to fall down and worship this golden image that he had set up. Attaching a penalty for disobeying this command —a furnace of blazing fire was made ready to welcome anyone who went against the command.
After accusations of disobedience and disregard to the king was brought against the three Hebrew men{Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego}, by certain Chaldeans....the king in a furious rage commanded these three Men to worship the golden image he had set up, reminding them of the punishment that came with the 'package'.

Verse 15b; " But if you do not worship, you shall be thrown at once into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can rescue you out of my hands?"
–Verse 16-18; "Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego answered the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to answer you on this point. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up!"'— this last statement made by these MOGs{Men Of God}, hits me every time. Knowing that God is on their side(not saying this by their feelings ), they knew God was with them. They didn't succumb to the status quo. They didn't compromise their awareness of "Emmanuel ". They were aware of the furnace of blazing fire, but they were more aware of God being with and for them. They didn't get silenced by the penalty of being roasted in fire, because they knew that their God is a consuming fire!—Hebrews 12:29(AMP); For our God is indeed a consuming fire.

Going back to the story of these three Men, all that they said made the king really furious and He gave a command that the furnace was to be heated seven times hotter than usual—the hearts of men is really wicked o. These three Hebrew Men were tied up and were thrown into the midst of the furnace.

Now, this is where it gets interesting..
–The Men who carried up these three Hebrew Men into the furnace, were killed by the flame of the fire because it was extremely hot.
–The three Hebrew Men who were tied up into the midst of the fire, were seen walking around in the midst of the fire(untied).
–They were not just three Men walking freely in the midst of the fire, there was an 'extra' man in the fire! And the Bible recorded that the king recognized the form of the fourth man as the Son of God!

Calling forth the three Hebrew Men from the fire, their hair was not singed, their clothes were not scorched or damaged, even the smell of the smoke was not on them–because they carried the presence of God, they carried His fragrance.

Look at what the king said in Daniel 3:28b– " They violated the king's command and surrendered their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God."—points out the degree at which these Men relied on and trusted in God( even when it didn't look or seem like it).

After this miracle happened, the king passed an ordinance that the people should worship the living God of these three Hebrew Men.

Narrating this story to us is not just for "story-telling", but to encourage and admonish us. When you're on the Lord's side, He will definitely be on your side too.

-Be unapologetic about your belief in God.
-Speak boldly about your God.
-Be ready to embrace being the odd one out. You've been called-out.
-Don't be moved by "mere feelings", before you're aware of the presence of God in and with you.
In John 4:48, Jesus said to the Nobleman, "Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders, you simply will not believe." We shouldn't be moved by dramatic effects, goosebumps, somersaults and so on, before we are able to live a life fully aware of the omnipresence of our God.

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not short, that it cannot save. Nor His ears so impaired that it cannot hear. But your wickedness has separated you from your God. There's nothing wrong with God; the wrong is in you. Your sins got between you so that He doesn't hear."{ Isaiah 59:1-2}.

You want God to be on your side? Then, you must run from sin and run to God.
-Believe in Him and receive His salvation, genuinely.

I hope this blesses you.
